Raj Yamuna School signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSRACS

Raj Yamuna School Bali (RYS) signed renewal of the previous MoU with John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School (JSRACS) Perth-WA on Monday May 27th, 2013 at Raj Yamuna School, Denpasar. This MoU signing was committed to following up the success of the previous MoU that has been running for 5 years. It has been felt its advantages by both parties.

The MoU was officially signed by the founder of Raj Yamuna School, Made Okin Adiyana, SE.,MT.,M.Si. School Council of JSRACS, Dr. Keneth Evans, and the principal of Raj Yamuna Junior High School, Drs. I Made Jasa.

According to Jasa, the success of the previous MoU was focused on developing the students’ international horizons after the exchange student program done every year. Moreover, some of RYS’ students were allowed to join the regular class at JSRACS for one semester. Besides that, JSRACS invited 3 RYS’ teachers every year to teach Balinese traditional music and dances at the school.

“We feel very close with JSRACS. Our relationship is like a family. Our students feel at home living in Perth. On the contrary, JSRACS’ students feel at home living in Bali. This happens because of our beautiful slogan: The rainbows over Bali and Perth symbolizing Perth and Bali are our homes and families. We both have differences; however, these differences make our friendship become more beautiful,” Jasa said.

Komang Raj Farez Adiyana, the principal of national education development foundation said that the success of the partnership was the result of the home stay program. Living with host family gives a lot of experiences to the students. They will learn closely the life styles of each country which has difference culture. “We just continue the previous program and will try to make it better in the future,” he added.

The founder and the advisory board, Made Okin Adiyana, SE.,MT.,M.Si added that the signing of the new MoU is not a contract extension; however, it aims at improving the success of the first MoU.  There some important points that are highlighted in this renewal MoU, namely the home stay program. He added the home stay is not intended to reduce expenses of accommodation during the visit to each school. On the other hand, it is hoped that the students will learn effectively art and culture of each country.

He expects by this mutual cooperation, both Raj Yamuna and John Septimus Roe are able to broaden educative horizon since in the independence history of Indonesia, Australia assisted Indonesia to drive the enemies away from Indonesia. Besides, Australia is the nearest neighbor country of Indonesia.
